Payroll Cards - The Truth

Is your employer trying to convince you to use a payroll card? There are many factors to consider about the payroll card before you make a decision. Over 60% of Americans use some form of direct deposit today for their payroll checks. This is done to not only save your company money, but to save you time and money as well. However, what do the people who do not have access to a bank account do?

Today, about 60 million people do not have bank accounts. So cashing a payroll check can be difficult to do without paying a substantial amount of fees. It can be difficult for these individuals to make online payments or pay bills. Many of these same individuals do not have any form of credit card either. Businesses have created a payroll card to help people in this situation.

There are two types of payroll cards available to businesses. You need to know which kind your company is offering in order to make an informed decision. The first is the stored value card or SVC. The second is the bankcard. The SVC card is a card on which the amount of your payroll has been stored. You have a pin number and can withdraw money from the card at any ATM just like a debit card. A major difference is that you cannot use the SVC at a register. Although the funds that your employer has in the master account are insured by the FDIC, individual accounts, like yours on the SVC, are not insured.

The bankcard is FDIC insured and you can use this payroll card just like debit cards. Some payroll bankcards have the Visa or MasterCard logo. No matter which type of payroll card the company offers, both have major benefits for you. Your funds are available immediately. Everyone qualifies for a payroll card; there are no requirements to prevent you from getting one. You will be able to avoid check cashing fees, have a PIN to protect your funds, can purchase items through and POS, and can transfer funds or pay bills online.

The payroll card is an excellent tool for those who do not have access to a bank account as long as you know which type of card is being offered. Always ask questions and you will have the truth you need!

Credit Repair - The Myths

A simple search on any internet search engine with the words "Credit repair" will return hundreds of thousands of results. That number alone will tell you about the immense magnitude to which information about credit repair is available. The difficult thing about sifting through so much information is trying to decide which information is veracious because in this new age of digital democracy, the proliferation of the Internet has resulted in an exponential increase in online citizenship where everyone can share their thoughts. The problem is, some people have no clue what they are talking about but sound like they do, while others are genuinely misinformed and provide completely wrong information. This extends to information about credit repair online as well and so I hope below I will be able to debunk some of the common myths about credit repair and set your mind at ease once and for all.

Myth 1: All online credit repair companies are scams

The key word in this sentence that makes this statement false is the word "all". While it is certainly true to a large extent that around eight or nine out of ten online credit repair companies are as good as fraudsters, that does not make all online credit repair companies scams. In fact, there are a few that are actually reputable and trustworthy; the key is to sift through the many diverse companies and to find one that is able to deliver the results to suit your needs.

Myth 2: All negative entries in the credit report should be removed

While it may sound intuitive to remove all negative entries in your credit report to improve your credit score, the truth is that this is not always necessarily the case. This is because other factors come into play when determining your credit score and one of these factors is the history time-span that each entry dates back to. Thus removing a negative account from a few years back might actually be detrimental to your credit repair efforts.

Myth 3: All negative entries in the credit report that are verifiable cannot be deleted

Again, the key word in this sentence is the word "all". There is a Federal Trade Commission law that states that any disputed entry in the credit report that cannot be verified by the credit bureau within 30 days must be removed. If you have any doubts or suspicions about the accuracy of any of the entries in your credit report, it would be to your advantage to dispute it with the credit bureau and send in a request for inquiry. This puts the pressure on the credit bureau to verify your disputed entries, and as such if they are unable to do a complete verification by the deadline, this benefits you in the sense that negative entries that should be counted against you could be in reality be removed. Thus it is a myth that ALL verifiable negative entries in the credit report cannot be deleted; only the ones that can meet the verification deadline cannot be deleted. This is important to note as you undertake credit repair.

The Best Independent Financial Advisers

Independent financial advisers. There is no doubting that the Credit Crunch and resulting recession has elevated the importance of the role of an independent financial adviser. With the 'unexpected' never too far away, in terms of job security and current financial well-being it has never been a more critical time to consult with an IFA to really maximise your present and future business or personal financial matters.

There has been a raft of anecdotal evidence regarding the worrying number of UK consumers cutting back on financial service offerings especially within the insurance sector. It is important to reiterate that home, whether it be building or contents insurance cover is an absolute must and underlines the importance of homeowners needing to look elsewhere to reduce their outgoings. A trusted independent financial adviser can certainly help to negate such risks and indeed add real value through their extensive knowledge and product expertise. This expertise will help provide a vital financial safety net to steer individuals and families through the recession, as well as helping to provide long-term security at a cost that is right for you.

Indeed, the true value of professional financial advice should not be underestimated. To help illustrate this fact, new research has confirmed that 97 per cent of clients are reported as saying that they would be happy to use an IFA again, or recommend them to a friend or family member. The study, conducted by NMG Financial Services Consulting among 534 clients of Sesame - a large IFA network - over the 12 months to April 2009, revealed that the majority would 'definitely', or be 'likely' to, use an IFA again and/or recommend them. Overall, 73 per cent of respondents opted for 'definitely', 18 per cent said 'very likely', and 6 per cent said 'quite likely'. The most telling statistic, however, is that only 1 per cent of people said they would 'definitely not' use their adviser again or recommend them to friends and family.

In addition to this a recent poll produced by Nottingham University Business School echoed the fact that IFAs are the most trusted individuals working in financial services today. With an overall trust rating of 75.02, the Financial Services Research Forum's 2009 trust index, carried out by Nottingham University Business School, found that despite the current economic turmoil, on average, respondents were more trusting of financial services institutions than organisations like the NHS and BBC, who scored 53 and 61 respectively.

Financial advisers and brokers received the highest rating - 81.67 - on trust and trustworthiness, followed by investment companies (76.24), general insurers (75.98) and building societies (75.22).

From these research papers it is fair to say that the vast majority of independent financial advisers can continue to pride themselves on providing an acclaimed quality of service. This reinforces the huge value that people place in professional financial advice and the positive impact that this can have on their future financial well being. As lifestyle choices and changes in circumstance continue to dominate our modern day lives independent financial advisers can help us all to adjust our arrangements accordingly and provide much needed peace of mind where our finances are concerned to keep the 'unexpected' at bay.

Credit Repair Tips That Can Do By Your Self

Is your credit being bad or naughty? Before you consult a credit repair service or debt consolidation company, try and kick it back in to gear all by yourself. There are many techniques that you can do by yourself to help get derogatory items removed off of your credit and correct erroneous information. Where do you start? Let us tell you.

The first thing to do is to pull a free credit report. Doing this will help you to know exactly what is wrong with your credit. There is a great guide that can be found here that will help you know how to analyze your credit report that you have pulled for free. Once you have done this then you can start doing these do it yourself techniques.

The first thing to do once you have analyzed your credit report is to get your word processing software fired up. You are actually going to write letters to the three credit bureaus which are; Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. The first paragraph of the letter should say something like this;

"To whom it may concern,

I am very upset about the incorrect and erroneous information that is being reported on my credit report. This information needs to be corrected immediately. As you are aware it is federal law for you to check these items and get back to me within 15 days."

The next step is to then list the accounts or information that is incorrect. For example, if your name is spelled wrong or your social security is wrong say something like;

"My personal information is wrong and erroneous. My correct information is as follows: My name is ____________ and my birth date is ____________ and my address is _________________ and my social security number is _______________"

The next thing to do is to then list your accounts that have lates or are in collection. Please make sure to list the accounts as follows:

VISA CREDIT CARD Accnt# 123456789 NEVER LATE

Repeat this step for each account. This will force the credit bureaus to check with the issuing companies. If they can't get a hold of those companies within 15 days then they by law have to remove the accounts. If your personal information is wrong, it is possible that many accounts will be removed because they are not associated to your correct name and social.

Once you have written the letter make a copy for each credit bureau and then make sure to include a copy of your drivers license and social security card and make sure you personally sign the letter. If you miss this step they will not be able to verify that it was you who sent the letter and nothing will get done. Find the addresses to the credit bureaus at the bottom of your free credit report and then send off the three letters. You will then get information back to you within 15-30 days from the bureaus letting you know if anything got removed. If nothing did get removed then it is time to consult with credit repair services or credit repair attorneys.

Financial Freedom - 5 Ways To Get Creating It

A Financial Freedom, It will be nice to finally have enough money to do the things you've been dreaming about. These are 5 steps shows to have financial freedom and fulfill your dreams.

1. Pay Down Debt - The best way to pay off existing debt is the snowball effect or avalanche. Mark off several columns on a piece of paper. In the first column on the left, write the names of the months, beginning with the upcoming month. At the top of the next column, write the name of the creditor you want to pay off first. It may be the debt with the highest interest rate, or the earliest pay-off date. List the monthly payment for that creditor until the loan is repaid. At the top of the next column, record the name of the second creditor you want to repay, and list the minimum payment due each month. After you have paid off the first creditor, add the amount of that monthly payment to your next creditors monthly payment, and so on, creating a major avalanche by the time you get to your last creditor.

2. Avoid Debt - Spend less money than you make. One of the most common debt traps people fall into is making a purchase with a credit card thinking, "Oh, I'll just pay with my next paycheck", then when their check comes, they find something else they would rather spend the money on, so they only make the minimum monthly payment on their credit card. If you don't have the money to buy the item you want now, save until you have the amount you need. Maybe after a couple of weeks you'll find you didn't really want the item after all.

3. Use A Budget - Make a realistic budget and stick to it. Budget for a specific period of time - weekly, biweekly, or monthly - according to your pay schedule. Include the basics such as, food, mortgage or rent, property taxes, utilities, transportation, savings, debt payments, insurance, medical, clothing, entertainment, and other personal expenses. A budget allows you to see exactly where your hard earned money is going, enabling you to make smart choices about what you need and what you can do with out.

4. Pay Yourself - Many people find it hard to put money away for themselves, after all the monthly bills are paid there isn't anything left to save. Pay yourself first! A good amount would be 10% of your income, but if you are working on paying down debt, start with a smaller amount, then once your debt is paid off begin putting 20%, or more if you can, into a savings account. It's also a good idea to have a couple of different savings accounts, one for long term or retirement, another for vacations, and one for emergencies such as, car repairs, medical, or any other surprises that might come your way.

5. Give To Charities - Giving is a need that all humans inherit from birth, it is the key to happiness in this life, whether you choose to give time or money. Many of the trials we face in this life can be overcome by the simple act of giving. If you decide to give money, be sure to research the charity you're donating to and make sure that it's legitimate and non-profit organization.

Those are the 5 easy steps to reach your financial freedom easily.

Quick Credit Repair Techniques - Easy And Works

Credit repair how.

Do Something

Now is the time to do something about your credit. There are many credit repair techniques that can clean up your reports and get your scores moving in the right direction. And you will not have to wait years for results. Time can play an important role in credit repair, but it can just as easily work against you. Credit reporting errors are common and will often compound with time rather than clearing up. In today's credit environment you must act defensively. Here are our favorite quick techniques. Your credit is waiting. Are you ready to take charge?

Reduce Revolving Balances

Do you have credit card balances? Most people do. And it is too easy to let the balances climb up to the limit. This is a credit repair disaster. The FICO scoring model puts great weight on the relationship between your balances and your card limits. The lower the balance, the higher your scores will be. And conversely, as your balances approach the limit your scores will plummet. Don't ignore this credit repair tip; your balances can swing your scores by 150 points.

Build New Credit Now

Oh, you don't have any credit cards? You cannot expect to see your scores improve without open positive accounts. It is likely that you won't be able to get regular unsecured cards. This is no problem. Just get a couple of secured credit cards. They are the perfect credit repair tool. I suggest you get two cards. You can open them for the minimum amount, the credit repair benefits will be the same as a high limit card. Once you have your cards you need to use them, but keep the balances low. It will take several months for these new cards to yield the score benefit, but before long you will see the magic happen.

Avoid Consumer Debt

Not all forms of credit offer the same benefit. The FICO scoring model discriminates between debt types. Consumer debt will not help your cause. Consumer debt includes store cards and loans for the purchase of furniture, electronics and other consumer goods. These offers can be convenient but will almost certainly lower your scores. For rebuilding your credit you need to stick with mainstream credit cards like MasterCard and Visa.

Clean Up Your Credit Report

Credit reporting errors are very common. And worse, errors are even more likely to occur on the reports of those who have had past credit issues. Legitimate problems tend to generate errors which will make your scores far worse than they should be. It is also important to know that many errors are compliance issues that are hard to find without knowledge of the reporting requirements imposed on the credit bureaus. Success requires knowledge of the laws that govern the participants in the reporting process. A careful clean up of your credit reports can mean a major and quick improvement in your scores. If you are not comfortable doing this on your own, hire a professional service.

Credit Repair Services

There may be many opportunities to improve your credit scores. Credit repair techniques can address issues with the credit bureaus, creditors, and collectors. There are many things you can do yourself to improve your credit, but if you feel overwhelmed just hire a service. A credit repair service will insure that no opportunity is overlooked. And the cost should be very reasonable. Most companies offer a full range of services for about $50.00 per month. If you are busy, too busy to do it yourself, just hire a professional. It's your credit and it matters!

Financial Planning - Set Your Goal

Finance planning is a hot topic right now because of the current financial situation plaguing the world. Many individuals hope that they are able to get a handle on their finances in case the economy gets worse for them. All of the finance tips in the world are great, but the only way to truly do this is to set goals.

What kind of goals do you need? You must do such things as figure out where most of your money is going, identify where you can cut back, and also figure out a way to give yourself a financial boost if you can. If you do these things, then you will find that you can conquer the topic of finance and live freely.

How to Set Goals

If you ever want to get anywhere with anything, you must set goals. When it comes to finances, it is rather hard to set small goals to get to the ultimate goal. In this case, you have to identify your ultimate goal and come up with a plan to get there. Here are the things that you need to do:

Check your bank statements and see where it is your money is going. This is one of the best pieces of advice in finance because people are usually amazed at what they find. The wondering about where the money has gone comes to an end.

After you find out where your money is going, it is time for you to see where it is you can cut back. How much can you cut away from your cable bill? Do you really need that online video rental membership? Is there a company that offers the same life insurance coverage for a cheaper rate? These are all questions to ask and put the answers into action.

You need to set limits for your family. If you're doling out money all of the time, let them know you are going to start limiting what they get and that they need to budget their money.

Limit how much you are spending on family outings. It is true that you and the family need these times together, but is it necessary to spend $30 on the video arcade?

Make sure you place money in your savings and in your investment accounts. Don't forget to plan for the future and for rainy days.

Doing all of these things will help you reach your ultimate goal. Remember, the goal you wish to reach is entirely up to you. When it comes to finance, it cannot be too big or too small. It depends on your particular situation.

For instance, you may wish to have a certain amount in your savings account and retirement accounts. You may also wish to take your family out for your dream vacation when the economy straightens up. By planning for these goals, you will not have to rely on the credit cards to see them happen. You will already have the money.

How to Give Your Finances a Boost

If you find that your current stream of income is not enough, there is another rule in finance that you may wish to abide by. That rule is to boost your income any way that you can.

The first thing that probably comes to mind is finding a second job, but that doesn't always have to be the case. There are certain things that you can do at home to give your finances a boost. For instance, you can start an eBay business. You may also wish to do something such as affiliate marketing or do some freelance writing on the side.

As for where to find these jobs, there are classified websites and work at home job sites that offer a lot of opportunities. What is great about these opportunities is the fact that you do them on your own time as long as you meet your deadlines.

If your second income stream is just another way to add to your savings and your investment accounts, then you will want to make sure you do just that. You can separate the purposes of your income streams and find that your family will be in a much more comfortable financial situation.

Other Aspects of Finance

If you find that you are not in a situation where you can cut back or a second income stream won't provide you with what you need, there are other ways to deal with your financial needs. You can improve your situation by refinancing your debts. You can apply for a debt consolidation loan. This will combine all of your unsecured debts such as credit cards and personal loans. The payment and the interest rate are usually reduced from what all of the separate payments were. This leaves more room to set goals and meet them.

You may even wish to negotiate with your credit card companies. If you have had a good history with the company, they are more likely to help you out when trying to reach your financial goals.

So when it comes to fixing your finance situation, know that you have plenty of options. It is not impossible to work with what you have and not impossible to add to it. In the end, things will be much better for you financially.

Understanding Credit Card Debt Consolidation

Credit card debt consolidation is a term that gets thrown around on TV a lot. Once you understand what debt consolidation is and how it is accomplished, it is very likely you can accomplish the same goals and get the same benefits without paying anyone an excessive fee.

The reasons debt consolidation services have sprung into existence is that with the challenges in the economy like unemployment and the prices of so many of life's necessities going higher and higher, many people are spreading their debt over many cards. The result is that an average person might have three or more cards with high debt run up on each of them. Because of this the interest fees being charged on a monthly basis by the credit card companies can get quite high and spiral out of control.

The first point of credit card debt consolidation is to get all of your debt into one master account. Then, as soon as you can, get rid of the credit cards, then close the credit card accounts entirely and try to get a reasonable interest rate on the master account and you can deal with this one account over time.

One tactic that is often used to move your debt to lower rate interest loans is to use 0% offers from credit card companies. That is fine, but be careful with those because sometimes there are hidden transfer fees that can be as high as interest payments

If you can move several thousand dollars to a zero percent loan for six months, then do so, but make sure you work on paying off higher interest cards.

Be sure and read the small print on the 0% credit card contract because at the end of your "free" period the interest rate on that new card account can oftentimes be higher than any of your other credit card interest rates.

Start a diary of your debt where you document each card you have, what the interest rate is, what your credit limit is and what your minimum payments are and when those payments need to be made during the month.

This diary will tell you which credit cards need the most attention and where you should look to consolidate two credit cards into one or all of them into the one credit source that you feel you can work with long term.

By working with that partner you can make a plan to consolidate your credit card debt and get rid of it once and for all.

7 Ways to Reduce Your Debt and Become Debt Free

Reduce your debt and become free right now. This is the tips

The temptation of a credit card is overwhelming for many people. When you make a purchase using a credit card you don't feel you are spending any money. Your bank balance does not go down and the cash in you pocket remains the same. You have a feeling that you have gotten the merchandise for free.

You get a rude awakening when you receive your bills at the end of the month. Most often than not, you don't have the money to pay the balance in full, so you make a minimum payment. The high interest rates charged by the credit card issuing banks soon start piling up and you find yourself knee deep in debt.

Sometime you may be hit with an unfortunate event or crisis like a totaled car, lost job, or medical emergency. The bottom line is that you are carrying more debt than what you would like. How can you pay off your debt?

1. First, start operating in cash-only mode. Make friends with your checkbook or debit card. This will prevent you from amassing further debt which will negate your efforts to get ahead. And, you are likely to spend less when you pay with actual cash or a debit card that is pulling money immediately from your checking account.

2. One way to start making a dent in your debt is to pay the minimum on all bills except for your smallest debt. Put all of your extra money toward this smaller debt until it is paid off. Then, do the same for the next smallest debt until you have paid off all of your debts. This can give you a psychological boost by seeing progress being made relatively quickly.

3. Another method is to pay off your highest-interest debt first. This will save you the most money, but if your biggest debt is thousands of dollars, you will have to wait awhile to get the satisfaction of actually paying a debt off. Call your creditors and negotiate for a lower interest rate. If even one agrees to this, you will have saved money which you can put towards paying down your debts.

4. Research whether moving the balance of one credit card over to another credit card makes sense. A fee is often involved to do this, so make sure that your gain will be more than the fee over the period of time you expect to carry the debt.

5. If you have debts such as a car loan or mortgage, see if refinancing makes sense. If so, you can take the difference between your current and former payment and apply it to your other debts.

6. If you have a good amount of equity in your home, look into a home equity line of credit. These usually have lower interest rates than many other loan types. The caveat is that if you default on the loan, you could lose your home.

7. Consider selling items for which you have a loan and either buying a cheaper version or doing without. You might be able to get by without a second car for awhile or that RV that you use once per year.

Credit cards are good if you are very disciplined in managing your finances. Most people give low priorities to managing their finances and find themselves into debt most of the time. If you are serious about making a dent in your debt and paying it off within a few years, start using the tips discussed above.

Credit Repair Scams - How Can You Tell If a Credit Repair Company is Legitimate?

Credit card debt often results in desperate circumstances. Unfortunately, desperate people are often vulnerable to scams, and there are definitely credit repair scams out there. They may actually harm rather than help your credit.

Scams range from companies that overcharge for what they do, all the way to involving unknowing clients in illegal activity.

A sure sign of a credit card scam is if the company directs you to falsify information on the application. You will be liable for your own fraudulent actions, even if a so-called expert directed you to do something, so go with your gut and never do something you know is wrong, no matter how much the advisor prompts you.
In addition to putting false information on forms, the next worse thing you can do is to pay money upfront, because fraudulent companies have been known to run off with their client's money, leaving them in a much worse financial situation than where they started.

It's also important to read the fine print and make sure that you are not making any agreements that you are not comfortable with, including paying fees that are unreasonable.

Whatever you do, don't allow the company to handle your money for you. Always keep control of your own money, because once you hand it over to the credit repair company, it is out of your hands and you have no control over what happens with it. If you hand the money over to someone else, the money may not make it to the people you owe it to, and you'll end up in even deeper debt than when you started.

Reputable credit repair companies will not put you under a lot of pressure, nor will they back you into a corner, so if you find yourself under a lot of pressure, it is better get up and walk away rather than give in to the pressure.

Credit repair takes time, no matter who is handling it, so if you are promised instant results, know that those promises - and the company making them - cannot be trusted.

Erase 50% of Your Credit Card Debt Without Leaving Your Home

The American economy is in a recession now because of the poor education that American consumers have received from their creditors. We have been educated by credit card companies on how to charge ourselves into debt and this has resulted with the average family carrying over $10,000 in credit card debt. And this should not be, especially when there is free help available from companies who used to work in the private sector that are now helping consumers erase 50% of their credit card debt.

There is no reason why anyone should go through life having to worry about past due balances on their credit cards when little known consumer protection laws and tactics can help them erase half of their balance on their credit cards. However, most people are not aware of these facts, so they hire credit repair attorneys in order to get bad debt help. This does nothing but cost more money in attorney fees and may not prevent the situation.

95% of all bankruptcies are a direct result of American credit-card debt and this does not have to be, especially when there is free information given to the public that can show anyone how to cut their debt in half. The charge you make today could very well follow you into bankruptcy proceedings or even retirement if you're not careful. A simple $10,000 charge can double itself in interest if you miss payments and fall into the credit card system of late payments and even more obligations.

There's no reason to go through life depressed because of credit card debt when companies are offering free information and help to help erase 50% of the money you owe.

I have found this resource to help you reduce your debt by 50% They are a reputable and safe company to work with. 10K = free debt help.

Investing in Your Own Money For a Change

The United States' economy is certainly being tested in today's time. It seems as if every day, some shocking news item is being reported relating to the U.S.'s deficit or perhaps another major company filing for bankruptcy. At least, you're fairly confident that your money will always be protected right? Don't be too sure. Millions of Americans have already lost major dollars because of bank closings and other negative changes in stocks and bonds.

The simple fact of the matter is that the government has the right to seize all of its citizens' assets if deemed necessary. Think about it. If things get worse, where will the U.S. turn first? To outside sources of aid? Probably not...not before turning to its own citizens to pick up the burden. This is what you call socialism in the modern age, and not too many people are happy about it.

That explains the increasing popularity of offshore accounting and offshore investing. This involves storing and investing your money overseas, rather than in domestic bank. There are various advantages to consider here, including tax concessions and the opportunity to diversify your portfolio to an international level.

However, the primary advantage is that you can experience some independence by investing your money through offshore banks. When you do this, you are no longer at the mercy of your own government, nor do you have to worry about asset seizure or even bankruptcy. Your money can be stored in what is considered a "third party" location and you can ensure your money against loss.

You have total privacy over your account and do not have to answer to the federal government regarding your account. This is not to suggest that you can do anything illegal, such as underreporting American income. The main advantage of offshore investing is that you are independent and have full control over your account and your spending.

There are some technicalities that may apply from country to country. For example, you have to learn about bank wiring, passports, estate and gift tax planning, exchange controls, travel restrictions and perhaps even dual citizenships. (Not all countries allow dual citizenships for that matter)

No, offshore investing and accounting are not illegal practices. However, it's not the type of thing the U.S. broadcasts. Just think if half the population suddenly started storing their money overseas. Now you have an even deeper deficit! So while there is nothing illegal about this activity, you may want to seriously consider starting an account before sanctions are added in the best interest of the U.S.'s economy.

Financial Planning - How Not to Be Caught in a Sucker's Rally

We may be at the crossroads of economic recovery for in Asia, we have seen steep sell-downs in equity prices whilst at the same time Green Shoots (real or imaginary?) are spotted in all significant global economies. So the idea of taking a break and "going away for a holiday" should be the last thing on your mind right now!

Staying grounded in reality, we must realize that the worst is probably not over yet. After all, firm evidence of improving economic fundamentals is still lacking, or at best, inconsistent.

Most analysts expect the stock markets to consolidate after this 12-week rally. But what will that mean for the STI? Will it head south to 1800, or rocket north to 2800? Right now it's anybody's guess. We will have to sit tight and wait it out. The last thing we want to do is get caught up in a sucker's rally.

Waiting it out is one thing, but how do we do that and remain calm and collected as we look towards a sustainable economic recovery? Well the good news is that if you have already made long-term investment plans, you should still be looking at them as long-term tools. What is happening in the market today is probably (1) short-term and (2) nothing you can control anyway.

Another piece of good news - recovery in Asia is expected to arrive earlier than other regions of the world, though the US may be the first to show signs despite the presence of A(H1N1) flu. However, before this can happen, the following three situations will have to take place:

1) The Global Financial Sector has to stabilize further with more credit flowing into the markets.

2) The US Property Market must stop deteriorating and start improving with fewer housing defaults and increased housing starts.

3) The economic data coming out should continue to be sustainable rather than be one-offish.

In the meantime, while waiting for the three signs to appear, you can look to taking action on the things you, personally, can control.

Rather than "taking a holiday", why not put in place a regular investing plan or RSP (Regular Savings Plan). With this in place, you should be able to control what is controllable and at the same time, reduce unpredictability. If you are not sure how to go about this, seek the help of your financial advisor. After all, they are there for you precisely in these times of economic uncertainty to help you make the most of a bad situation.

3 Reasons to Use a Stock Picker to Realize Your Financial Independence

The stock picker, or a program which generates lucrative stock picks, has been leveling the playing field in the stock market for years now, but no time more so than today when this technology has reached a new plateau. Here are 3 reasons of why you should use a stock picker to make the kind of money that you want from the stock market and to finally realize your financial independence once and for all.

Market Based Picks - So many factors can ruin a trade. Emotions, guesswork, and basic human calculation errors can all cost you money, particularly if you're largely untested in the stock market and don't have years of trading experience under your belt. Using a stock picker means that every trade which you receive from it and place was generated entirely based on market data. These programs make use of mathematical algorithms which build working databases of past successful trend data, then apply it to current real time market data around the clock to take advantage of the fact that the market operates in patterns. So no outside factors affect your trades, nothing but algorithmically crunched market data.

Time Saver - It takes time to effectively predict where the market will go before it happens. Many traders make it their full time jobs and a half to know the whereabouts the market around the clock, and even then it's still up in the air at best. Using a stock picker means that every pick is delivered right to you so that all you've got to do is enact the recommended trade and nothing more.

Learning Curve - In addition to being time consuming, it is difficult to predict trends given the sheer number of factors which can effect the position and value of a stock. As all of the work is done for you with a stock picker, all you've got to know how to do again is simply enact the recommended trades using an online trading account, enabling anyone to make money from the stock market even if they've never done it before.

What is a Credit Bureau?

In today's real estate market, it is more difficult than ever to qualify for a mortgage. With foreclosures on the rise, your credit score needs to be good, if not stellar, for lenders to say "yes". Still, most American's don't understand even the basics of a credit report or what exactly a credit bureau is. Even seasoned investors are confused on many of the details of how credit works.

This brings us to the most basic credit question of all. What exactly is a credit bureau? Quite simply, a credit bureau is a giant record keeper that stores information on almost every adult in the United States. Information includes addresses, employment and most importantly, payment history.

Some people think that when something on their credit report is inaccurate, the credit bureau is to blame. Many times, a lender will hear the statement "Equifax isn't reporting my car correctly". This isn't true! Your lender is the one reporting incorrectly.

The credit bureaus collect information, but they do not verify anything. What they report is simply the information that creditors supply them with. This means that a creditor can report anything to the credit bureau and it will appear on your report, regardless of whether it is accurate.

It is estimated that between 40 and 70% of credit reports contain errors. These errors can lead to increased interest rates, credit denial and even job denial.

Since without your involvement, your credit report is simply a large collection of unverified data, the federal government has numerous consumer protection laws in place. The most important of these to understand is that the only time the information in your credit bureau is verified is if you file a dispute with each of the three credit bureaus.

When this happens, the creditor has 30 days to prove to the credit bureau that the item is accurate. If they fail to verify the item as accurate within this time frame, the item is required by law to be removed from your credit report.

One of the most important keys to keeping your credit score up is consistent monitoring of your report. There are many great services to help make this easy, but the most important key is consumer knowledge and involvement.

Finding Credit Partners

Whether you have lots of money or no money, if you truly want to build a real estate empire or build a business, eventually you are going to want to find business credit partners. A key point to keep in mind is that you need to find these partners before you actually need them. So, the question is, how do you find them?

Here are some strategies that may work for you:

· Put together a business plan. This plan will explain the nature of the business, what the funds will be used for, what each individual's responsibilities are and what the end plan for the business venture will be.

· Ask family and friends to be your partner. Before you can do this, however, you need to get someone in your family or a close friend with GREAT credit to add you as an "authorized user" or better a "secondary user" to their high-limit, long-history credit cards. Explain to them that this will not affect their ratings at all. Even ask them to cut up the card in your name once they receive it. You'll be surprised at how many points this can increase your score.

· Find local people to be your business credit partner. These people are going to want to meet you and see what you're about. Here again, this is why your business plan is so important.

· Use the local newspaper to advertise for partners.

· Once you have business credit for your own main business venture, you will want to acquire partners for your other business ventures and opportunities, such as investing in Real Estate.

Credit Repair Tips - You Need to Know These 3 Things Before You Make a Move

We all know that blemishes on one's credit report is the one thing that will put a halt to dreams and aspirations real fast. When this happens the best thing to do is go on offense. Don't sit back and just let this situation handle itself. Go on the offensive, take action, and take heed of these 3 crucial things to keep in mind when moving forward to correct this problem.

The first credit repair tip is for you to order your credit reports. Across the industry, this is almost unanimously agreed upon as the first step in your do-it-yourself arsenal. You'll need to know what you have to work on for the coming weeks and months to come. You'll need to know exactly what is adversely affecting your credit score, who's listing this information, and what their contact information is. Make sure to order all three credit reports as there may be differing information from one to the next. If your not familiar with the three major companies, you'll be dealing with TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.

The second step you'll want to take is to take a fine tooth comb to these credit reports. What I'm trying to say here is that you'll likely find errors on the reports which display incorrect information. We as individuals and consumers have a responsibility to make sure that our own credit reports are displaying accurate information. There is very little to no verification process involved when these credit bureaus receive information regarding your accounts. Your creditor's words are somewhat treated as gold. This is where you'll come in providing balance to this unbalanced system they've got setup.

The third credit repair tip is to give credit where credit is due. If by chance you do have accounts that can be reported to the credit bureaus but for whatever reason aren't being reported, contact these companies and request that they be. You'll want to get credit for the on-time payments that your making on a monthly basis.

It's important to note that not all creditors will respond accordingly, but it's well worth the effort to make the request. If it has gotten to where your credit score and report are not allowing much in the way of approvals of additional credit cards and other cards that require credit, employ this process with your existing accounts and use these to help build up your credit rating. This will also decrease the amount of credit inquiries which can be adversely damaging to your score.

5 Guides For Effective Credit Maintenance and Repair

A good rating doesn't just come merely by dreaming about it. It takes some measure of consistency and focus on some guidelines. A good number of consumers have jerked up their scores using some effective tips, though it requires strict adherence on your part for good results.

• If you have got negative accounts on your credit report, waste no time in deleting them. In getting rid of negative accounts, pay immediate attention to the recent ones. The point behind this is that new accounts are more impactful than old ones; therefore new negative accounts are more damaging than old ones.

• Make it a habit to settle debts before you seek fresh loans. When applying for new credit, exercise patience as you do not want to rush into seeking out funds after an old one has just expired or has just been settled.

• Close cards that you are no longer using.

• Discuss with a family member on registering you as an additional cardholder on his/her card.

• Always get something in return when settling a collector. You should let the collector know that you are willing to pay him the money he requests if he will delete the collection account placed on your file as a result of the debt. This way, you will be removing a negative account from your file and at the same time adding some points to your total score.
You can also pick one of two options that will clean-off negative items from your credit report and also improve the way you are rated by the bureaus.

Credit Repair - Best Credit Repair Tips to Get You Started in Days and Not Years

No matter how many important steps you take to make sure your credit is the best it can be, you may discover your credit rating slips below desirable levels. For some, this is a huge cause for alarm. A poor credit rating will come with a number of problems such as the inability to achieve future financing. However, there is really no reason to become too alarmed over such a situation. It is quite possible to repair a credit rating as long as the right steps are taken to fix the problems. This can be accomplished through the use of credit repair service.

First and foremost, it is important to be aware of the many scams out there offering to repair your credit. Actually, it is more important to avoid them rather than to just merely be aware of them! While there are legitimate credit repair companies, there are also repair services that operate in a less than honest fashion. These services will usually make bold promises they cannot deliver on and often charge huge fees. That is why it is best to perform a little consumer research into any credit repair service prior to engaging in any business dealings with them.

Often, you can take many steps on your own to repair credit and this process is not as complicated as some assume. The first step is to acquire a copy of your credit report. The three major credit reporting agencies are required by law to provide you with a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months if you request this information. Requesting this info is always the first step because it will present you with any and all of the negative information that may be undermining your credit rating.

Upon receiving this information, it is necessary to ensure all information on the report is accurate. If there is negative information on the report that is not correct, it becomes necessary to file a notice with the entity that placed the inaccurate information. While no company you have done business with can be compelled to remove accurate information, inaccurate info can be removed. You simply need to prove to the credit bureau the info is inaccurate if the reporting entity refuses to remove it.

It is also important to do what is needed to raise your credit rating. Often, there are many simple steps that can be followed to ensure this process. Paying all your bills on time is definitely a "must" when looking to repair credit. Keeping a healthy balance of available credit is also important as well. Then, there are a few other steps that can be taken to boost your ratings up that should be enacted upon.

Making more frequent payments can boost your credit rating over time since it shows you are a reliable payer. Avoiding making excessive applications for credit cards also helps ensure your credit rating does not amass negative points. And, certainly, never get into a situation where you are receiving past due notices. All of these points are simple, basic, and effective. That is why they are also recommended strategies to follow. In short, they can help repair your credit and keep it from continually sliding downwards.
